Is this picture familiar?

And you know what happens next: just as the bucket is full it gets knocked over and by now your hands are so full of cramp they won’t work! Oh yes, and you have been kicked and stamped on in the process.

As livestock farmers we always at some point or another have an animal that needs milking, whether because she has a calf that will not feed correctly, she has a touch of mastitis, you need to save some colostrum or something else. Unless we are dairy farmers the only normal ways of milking the cow are by hand or by using an expensive, clumsy electric-powered mobile milking machine. Well not anymore!

Back in 2013 we came across a simple cordless milking machine and gave one a go. It soon became apparent that it was not designed to handle cattle but it had given us the idea. Since then we have come up with our own design and can now offer these for sale.

There are two different models available:

  • Small model – ideal for sheep, goats etc.
  • Large model – for cattle etc.

Small Model

This is the ideal bit of kit for the occasional milking of small animals like sheep or goats. It can be used on larger animals but we have found that the battery does not last for long! This model is completely cordless.

The kit contains:

     •     Cordless vacuum pump
     •     Charger
     •     Milk collecting container
     •     Pipe work
     •     Medium sized cups

     •     Storage bucket to keep it all safe

Extras:

•     Additional vacuum pump
•     Small sized cups

•     Large sized cups

Large Model

The large model is designed for the larger animal, it is also cordless. The main difference to the small model is the size of the vacuum pump; this model operates a much larger pump system.

The kit contains:

     •     Cordless vacuum pump
     •     Charger
     •     Milk collecting container
     •     Pipe work
     •     Large sized cups

     •     Storage box to keep it all safe.
Extras:
•     Additional battery
•     Small sized cups
•     Medium sized cups

These will be available for delivery from mid-January 2018, please contact us for pricing as this will depend on delivery costs.
